Light as a Feather (1972) est un album du pianiste de jazz Chick Corea et de son groupe Return to Forever.

Présentation de l'album

C'est le deuxième album enregistré par le groupe Return to Forever de Chick Corea en 1972, huit mois après le premier. Il est produit par Chick Corea sous le label Polydor. La composition du groupe est la même que sur le premier album, Stanley Clarke joue uniquement de la basse acoustique. Étant donné que le premier album n'a été diffusé qu'en 1975, cet album a pu être considéré à tort comme le premier enregistrement du groupe[1].

Le premier titre est une composition de Corea, "You're Everything", il commence par un chant de Flora Purim et comporte un solo à la flute de Joe Farrell. Le second titre, "Light as a Feather", est une composition de Stanley Clarke, la seule qui ne soit pas faite par Corea. La deuxième face du disque débute par "500 Miles High" qui selon Corea signifie avoir l'esprit qui vole haut. L'album se termine par un standard du jazz, "Spain".
