Il a arbitré 25 matchs internationaux de 1985 à 1991[1]. Il arbitre un match opposant l'équipe de France à l'Irlande[2].

Kerry Fitzgerald a arbitré notamment plusieurs matchs de la coupe du monde de rugby à XV 1987 (dont la finale Nouvelle-Zélande France[3] et la demi-finale Nouvelle-Zélande pays de Galles[4]).
