Heavenwood est un groupe de gothic metal portugais formé en 1992 dans la Vila Nova de Gaia, dans le District de Porto. Ils sont d'abord connus sous le nom de Disgorged puis changent pour Heavenwood en 1996[1].

Le groupe était en suspend entre 2001 et 2003[2].

Les démos As Illusive as a Dream et Emotional Wound sont enregistrées alors que le groupe se nommait encore Disgorged.
