Frances Wright (6 septembre 1795 – 13 décembre 1852), également connue sous le nom de Fanny Wright, était une libre-penseuse, féministe et abolitionniste d’origine écossaise qui devint américaine en 1825.
Inspirée par les expériences utopiques de Robert Owen, elle fonda en 1825 dans le Tennessee la commune de Nashoba, une communauté multiraciale destinée à démontrer les vertus émancipatrices de l’éducation sur les esclaves[1].
