Diplômé de la San Diego States University en 1991, il vendu son premier scénario lors qu'il eut 26 ans. En 2001, il a produit le film Blow. Il a également été appelé plusieurs fois pour la réalisation d'autres films et séries télévisés, notamment sur l'un des colonels américain[1].
