Origines
Jusqu'à, dans un premier temps, la naissance en 1885 d'un spécimen ayant les caractéristiques du labrador (Buccleuch Avon, de lord Malmesbury), puis enfin, en 1916, l'élaboration du standard du labrador et la création du premier club de race par la comtesse Lorna Howe.
