Abell 520 est un amas de galaxies dans la constellation d' Orion. On l'appel aussi Train Wreck Cluster [1](Galaxie avec un accident de train) ou Accident de Train Cosmique avec la présence de matière noire (en bleu). Les galaxies sont en jaune et orange[2].
Histoire
L'Amas du boulet ressemble à Abell 520 sans la collision des galaxies.
Les astronomes américain et canadien ont découvert un changement de la lumière même dans la matière noire sur la trajectoire des 2 galaxies[3].

Astronomers in Canada and the US have looked at how gravity has bent the path of the light coming from the combined cluster Abell 520 and have discovered what they call a “cosmic train wreck” - a core of dark matter and hot gas separated from the galaxies. The location of most of the matter in the cluster (blue) was also found using these telescopes, by tracing the subtle light-bending effects on distant galaxies.
