Iouli Vorontsov
Iouli Mikhaïlovitch Vorontsov (en russe : Юлий Михайлович Воронцов) ou plus simplement Iouli Vorontsov (né en 1929 – mort le 12 décembre 2007) était un diplomate russe, qui occupa des postes importants dans les dernières années de l'Union soviétique, et les premièrtes années de la nouvelle Russie, après la dissolution de l'URSS en 1991. Président de l'International Centre of the Roerichs (Moscou).
Biographie
Iouli Vorontsov est ambassadeur de l'Union soviétique en Afghanistan à la fin des années 1980. Par la suite, il fut le dernier ambassadeur soviétique aux Nations unies entre 1990 et 1991, puis le premier ambassadeur de la nouvelle Russie aux Nations unies de 1991 à 1994. Il termina sa carrière en occupant le poste d'ambassadeur russe aux États-Unis à partir de 1994.
Il meurt le 12 décembre 2007, à l'âge de 78 ans.
