William Crawford (1732 – 11 juin 1782) était un militaire américain et topographe qui travailla dans l'Ouest comme agent de George Washington.
Biographie
Crawford combattit lors de la Guerre franco-indienne et de la Guerre d'indépendance des États-Unis.
Il conduisit l'Expédition Crawford dans l'Ohio en 1782. Vaincu, il fut fait prisonnier. Il fut torturé et brulé vif par des Indiens, le 11 juin 1782.
