Bible vicieuse
On désigne sous le nom de Wicked Bible (en français : Bible vicieuse[1]) la réédition de la Bible du roi Jacques publiée en 1631, à Londres, par Robert Barker et Martin Lucas, imprimeurs royaux (elle est parfois appelée The Adulterous Bible - Bible adultère - ou The Sinners' Bible - Bible des pécheurs).
Ce nom vient d'une coquille du compositeur : il avait oublié le mot not dans le sixième commandement (Exode, 20, 13) « Thou shalt not commit adultery ». L'interdiction de l'adultère devenait ainsi une incitation à le commettre. L'édition fut presque intégralement détruite ; il n'en subsiste aujourd'hui que onze exemplaires, dont un au moins est accessible au public, à la New York Public Library.
