We are the fallen est un groupe de rock américain californien créé en 2009 par trois des ex-membres du groupe Evanescence :
La chanteuse choisie pour ce groupe est la finaliste de American Idol saison 7, Carly Smithson, et le bassiste se nomme Marty O'Brien.
Leur 1er single Bury Me Alive, paru fin juin 2009, ressemble beaucoup au titres de Fallen (1er album d'Evanescence), à la consonance beaucoup plus rock que The Open door.
Il est toutefois à noter que We are the fallen n'est en aucun cas un remplaçant d'Evanescence.
Amy Lee Hartzler a d'ailleurs annoncé la création d'un nouvel album pour l'année prochaine, par un message sur le site officiel.
