Ourim et Thoummim
Dans la tradition juive, l’Ourim et le Thoummim sont des éléments du pectoral sacré porté par le souverain sacrificateur[1]. Ils sont généralement considérés comme des objets ayant trait à l'art de la divination. En hébreu, le mot ourim signifie lumières, et thoummim, perfections.
Ancien Testament
- Exode 28:30 : « Tu joindras au pectoral du jugement l'Urim et le Thummim. »
- Esdras 2:63 : « et le gouverneur leur dit de ne pas manger des choses très saintes jusqu'à ce qu'un sacrificateur ait consulté l'Urim et le Thummim. »

- ↑ Il s'agit de la pièce de vêtement porté par le souverain sacrificateur selon la Loi de Moïse (voir Ex. 28:13-30 ; 39:8-21). Il était fait de lin et portait douze pierres précieuses.
