Campus des Docklands

L'Université de Londres-Est (UEL) est une université située dans le secteur d'East London en Angleterre.

C'est une nouvelle université qui a reçu le statut d'université en 1992. Elle fut fondée en 1970 sous le nom de North East London Polytechnic qui devint par la suite Polytechnic of East London.

Le projet de ses créateurs était exprimé ainsi : « Être reconnus au plan national et international comme une université régionale performante et intégrée, fière de sa diversité, engagée dans de nouveaux modes d'enseignement centrés sur les étudiants et l'amélioration de leur employabilité, et renommée pour sa contribution au développement social, culturel et économique, en particulier par la recherche et les bourses d'études.  »

Campus

L'université occupe trois campus principaux, tous situés dans le secteur de Londres Est. Ce sont les suivants :

  • le campus de Stratford à Stratford ;
  • le campus des Docklands dans le quartier rénové des Docklands ;
  • le campus de Barking à Barking.
