US Robotics Corporation
US Robotics Corporation est une entreprise qui fait des modems et des produits connexes. L'entreprise a vendue des modems très rapidement dans les années 1980, et avait une réputation de haute qualité et de compatibilité. Son siège se situe à Schaumburg (en banlieue de Chicago). Elle emploie maintenant environ 125 personnes dans le monde.
L'entreprise a été fondée en 1976 à Chicago, dans le nord-est de l'Illinois (puis reprise plus tard au 8100 N. McCormick Blvd. à Skokie) par un groupe d'entrepreneurs. Le nom de la société est une référence à la fiction d'Isaac Asimov, qui est crédité d'inventer le terme de la robotique.
