Thomas Cole (6 février 1801 - 6 février 1848) est un artiste américain du XIXe siècle.

Biographie

Il est né à Bolton, Lancastre et a émigré aux États-Unis à l'âge de 18 ans.

Ce fut l'un des plus célèbres peintres paysagistes de son époque. Il est connu pour avoir créé la Hudson River School et pour avoir eu Frederick Edwin Church comme élève.
