The New York Times Company (NYSE : NYT) est un groupe de presse américain connu surtout pour publier le quotidien éponyme : The New York Times.

The New York Times Company a été créé par Henry Jarvis Raymond et George Jones à New York. Son origine remonte à la publication du premier numéro du New York Times (qui s'appelait alors le New York Daily Times) le 18 septembre 1851.

The New York Times Company possède aussi le Boston Globe, l’International Herald Tribune et une vingtaine d'autre quotidiens régionaux américains. La NYTC possède aussi huit stations locales de télévision et deux stations de radio à New York, les chaînes de radio et télévision ont été vendues. Elle est aussi, en 2003, actionnaire minoritaire de l'équipe de baseball des Boston Red Sox.

En 2003, la New York Times Company a réalisé un chiffre d'affaires de 3,2 milliards de dollars. Elle est cotée depuis 1967 au New York Stock Exchange sous le code NYT.
