Suit est l'un des deux projets solo que Nelly a sorti en même temps, lors de l'été 2004. Au départ, ces deux albums ne devaient faire qu'un mais Nelly a finalement décidé de séparer le projet initial en deux bien distincts. Celui-ci est l'album orienté pop/r'n'b du rappeur. Le premier simple, My Place, une sorte de Dillemma remis au goût du jour, en est le premier hit. Suivront Over & Over (avec le chanteur de country le plus populaire aux États-Unis, Tim McGraw !) et N Dey Say. Suit s'est écoulé à près de 4 millions d'exemplaires rien qu'aux États-Unis.
