Sucidava, la vieille cité de la Dacie romaine, est située dans le quartier occidental de Corabia (quartier de Celei) au bord du Danube. On trouve là la première basilique chrétienne de la Roumanie, le pied d'un pont construit sur le Danube par les Romains et une fontaine qui descend sous les murs jusqu'au Danube.
