Serious Charge est un film britannique de Terence Young sorti en 1959. Le chanteur Cliff Richard y tient un rôle d'un jeune musicien nommé Curley Thompson.

Synopsis

Le pasteur Howard Phillips (Anthony Quayle), arrivé dans une nouvelle paroisse, accuse un voyou (Andrew Ray) d'être responsable de la mort d'une adolescente. En représailles l'adolescent accuse à son tour le pasteur de l'avoir maltraité. A ses accusations, se joignent celle d'une jeune femme dont le vicaire avait refusé les avances. Malheureusement pour le pasteur, la jeune femme est la fille du précédent pasteur de la paroisse[1].

Le film met surtout en scène Cliff Richard et son groupe: the Shadows, appelés à l'époque the Drifters. Il tient le rôle du plus jeune frère du bandit.
