- Brazzeia, Oubanguia, Pierrina, Rhaptopetalum, Scytopetalum.
Ce sont des arbres des régions sub-tropicales à tropicales d'Afrique.
La classification phylogénétique incorpore cette famille aux Lecythidaceae dans l'ordre des Ericales.
