Sanjaya Malakar est un chanteur américain, connu pour sa participation à l’édition 2007 (saison 6) de l'émission de téléréalité américaine « American Idol ». Il finit à la septième place du concours, soutenu par le public contre l'avis des juges.
Biographie
Il est né le 10 septembre 1989 à Federal Way, dans la banlieue de Seattle (état de Washington). Son père, Vasudeva Malakar, est un musicien originaire d'Inde émigré aux États-Unis et sa mère, Jillian Recchi Blyth, est une américaine d'origine italienne. Ses parents divorcent alors qu'il n'a que trois ans.
En 2009 il participe au jeu de télé-réalité I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here !.
