Samed Vurgun (azéri: Səməd Vurğun, en alphabet cyrillique: Сəмəд Вурғун, russe: Самед Вургун; vrai nom Samed Vekilov, nom azéri complet: Səməd Yusif oğlu Vəkilov; 21 mars ou 12 mai 1906, Yuxarı Salaxlı, Qazakh—27 mai 1956, Bakou) était un poéte Azéri et soviétique, travailleur des arts honoré de la République Soviétique d'Azerbaïdjan et membre de l'Académie des Sciences de la République socialiste soviétique d'Azerbaïdjan à partir de 1945. Vurgun a gagné le prix d'État de l'URSS pour ces drames: en 1941 pour Vagif (1937) et en 1942 pour Farkhad et Shirin (1941).

Vurgun a commencé à publier en 1924. Le Théâtre dramatique russe de l'état d'Azerbaïdjan et des rues de Bakou et Moscou portent son nom.
