L'association WDA est une association française à but non-lucratif (régie par la loi 1901), agissant pour la préservation, la conservation et la restauration du patrimoine numérique. Son but initial était la création d'un musée de l'informatique.
Historique
L'association WDA est officiellement créée le 21 juin 1996 par Mathieu Charreyre, et initialement Julien Gautier et Charles de Leusse, respectivement président, secrétaire général (à l'époque) et trésorier (à l'époque) de cette entité ; ils ont la volonté de concrétiser leur collection informatique et vidéo-ludique, commencée conjointement en 1988.

Cette association sait faire preuve d'une grande volonté et minutie dans la remise en état d'origine, esthétiquement comme techniquement, de chacune des pièces de leur collection.
Quelques chiffres
Aujourd'hui, l'association WDA compte vingt-six membres, une trentaine de sympathisants, plus de 800 machines différentes, plus de 2000 logiciels originaux, le tout prenant pas moins de 230 mètres-cubes de stockage.
