Rudolf Fittig (Hambourg 1835 - Strasbourg 1910) était un chimiste allemand qui travailla à la synthèse organique. Il découvrit les lactones et la synthèse du toluène qui porte le nom de réaction de Fittig. La Royal Society lui décerna la Médaille Davy en 1906.
