Le Rockery Building

Construit par John Wellborn Root et Daniel Burnham de Burnham and Root en 1888, il mesure 55 mètres (181 pieds) et comporte 11 étages. Il est composé d'une structure en métal, de briques et de terre cuite.

Le hall d'entrée a été restructuré en 1905 par l'architecte américain Frank Lloyd Wright. Il a subi une nouvelle restauration en 1989.

L'immeuble fut classé monument historique dans les années 1970. ("Chicago Landmark" en 1972 et ajouté à la liste du "National Register of Historic Places" en 1970 et à celle du "National Historic Landmark" en 1975).

Il est toujours accessible au public, et est le siège à Chicago de plusieurs sociétés comme US Bank, Brooks Brothers, Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates et BNP Paribas, parmi d'autres.
