Richard Dawson, né le 20 novembre 1932 à Gosport (Angleterre), surnommé « le bandit embrasseur » (The Kissing Bandit), est un acteur, humoriste et animateur de télévision américain.
Il est essentiellement connu en France pour avoir interprété le Caporal Peter Newkirk dans la série Papa Schultz. Il a également présenté la version originale d'Une famille en or aux États-Unis sur ABC.
