Le terme PakuPaku est un terme japonais qui exprime l'action d'ouvrir et fermer la bouche, et par extension l'action de manger avec gloutonnerie.
Il est à l'origine du nom du personnage de jeu vidéo Pacman qui s'appelait au départ Puckman. Lors de la sortie aux États-Unis du jeu, Midway, la firme qui a acquis les droits pour le marché américain, craignait que le « P » de Puckman ne soit transformé en « F » par des plaisantins[1] . Le nom de « Pacman » a donc été choisi pour couper court à toute déviance.
Pakupaku est également le nom d'un DJ français de musique électronique compositeur du live dub Volfoniq sur le label LCL.
