New Year's Day est une chanson du groupe de rock U2 paru sur l'album War et sorti en single en 1983. Il s'agit de la chanson la plus connue de l'album avec Sunday Bloody Sunday.
Historique
Le texte puise ses origines dans une chanson d'amour de Bono à sa femme, mais a ensuite été remodelé et inspiré par le mouvement polonais Solidarnosc, crée par Lech Walesa le 31 août 1980.
