Les New Orleans Zephyrs sont une équipe de ligue mineure de baseball basée à La Nouvelle-Orléans (Louisiane). Affiliés depuis 2007 à la formation de MLB des Florida Marlins, les Zephyrs jouent au niveau Triple-A en Pacific Coast League. Ils évoluent depuis 1993 au Zephyr Field (11 000 places).

Histoire

Kansas City (1900-1954)

La franchise est fondée en 1900 sous le nom de Kansas City Cowboys. Elle devient Kansas City Blues en 1904.

Denver (1955-1992)

Transférée à Denver en 1955, la franchise est rebaptisée Denver Bears puis adopte le nom de Denver Zephyrs à partir de 1985. Les Bears puis les Zephyrs jouent au Mile High Stadium. Les Zephyrs quittent Denver en raison de la création de la franchise MLB : les Colorado Rockies.

La Nouvelle-Orléans (depuis 1993)

Les Zephyrs s'installent à La Nouvelle-Orléans en 1993 et rejoignent la Pacific Coast League en 1998.
