Chick Churchill
Chick Churchill (né Michael George Churchill le 2 janvier 1946 à Ilkeston, Derbyshire) est le claviériste du groupe de rock britannique Ten Years After.
Biographie
Il commence à jouer du piano à l'age de six ans et étudie la musique classique avant ses quinze ans. Puis il s'intéresse au Rock et au Blues et rejoint les Sons of Adam à Nottingham. Il rencontre Alvin Lee des Jaybirds. Il est d'abord un roadie (technicien qui suit le groupe lors des tournées) avant de devenir le claviériste du groupe.
En 1967 le groupe change de nom et devient Ten Years After. Avec ce groupe il participe à de grand festival de rock, comme Woodstock en 1969 ou lîle de Wight le 29 août 1970.
Le groupe est dissous en 1976 et Churchill devient manager pour Chrysalis Music (label indépendant créé par Chris Wright et Terry Ellis qui a produit Ten Years After). En 1977, il quitte Chrysalis Music et crée Whitsett Churchill Music Publishing avec Tim Whitsett, qui produit et promeut des artistes américains, et plus spécifiquement des artistes du sud des États-Unis.
