Le Maniema est une des provinces de la République démocratique du Congo. Sa capitale est Kindu. Elle voisine le Kasai-Oriental à l'ouest, la Province Orientale au nord, Nord-Kivu et le Sud-Kivu à l'est, et le Katanga au sud.

Au XIXe siècle, "Maniema" désignait généralement la région actuellement connue sous le nom de "Kivu" (actuelles provinces du Nord Kivu, Sud Kivu et Maniema).

Les réformes de l'administration territoriale de la Constitution de mai 2005 ne modifient pas les limites territoriales pas de Maniema.
