Anne Carson (née à Toronto (Ontario) 21 juin 1950) est une poètesse canadienne et professeure d'histoire à l'université McGill, Montréal.
Sa formation en civilisation et histoire du monde antique, ainsi que sa connaissance des langues et des littératures classiques, lui permet d'incorporer dans sa poésie et ses écrits idées et thèmes, mythes et philosophie de l'antiquité, surtout des mythes et de la philosophie grecs. Elle est l'auteure de plusieurs tomes qui mêlent la poésie, la prose et la non-fiction.
