Lorena Alice Hickok (7 mars 1893 – 1er mai 1968) est une écrivaine américaine, notamment connue pour son roman L'Histoire d'Helen Keller. Elle est née le 7 mars 1893 à East Troy d'un crémier et d'une couturière. Violence et instabilité caractérisèrent son enfance. Elle écrivit dans les journaux, d'abord dans les nouvelles de Battle Creek (engagée pour 7 $). Durant la première guerre mondiale, elle fut engagée par le Minneapolis Tribune, puis, peu de temps après, elle s'installa à New York. Elle connut Roosevelt. Elle mourut en 1968, après avoir écrit six biographies (dont celle d'Helen Keller).
