Long John Silver's est une chaîne de restauration rapide créée en 1969 connue en majeure partie pour ses bâtonnets de poisson frit. La chaîne propose aussi plusieurs recettes issues des produits de la mer comme, par exemple, des crevettes, du crabe ou bien encore des hushpuppies servis avec des frites et/ou de la salade de choux. La chaîne sert environ 4 millions de clients par semaine.
La chaîne Long John Silver's a été acquise par le groupe agroalimentaire Tricon Global Restaurants le 7 mai 2002 suite à l'acquisition de Yorkshire Global Restaurants (Long John Silver's, A&W). Suite à cette acquisition, le groupe change de nom pour devenir Yum! Brands, Inc.(Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, Long John Silver's et A&W). Aujourd'hui, Long John Silver's compte plus de 1200 restaurants à travers le monde.
La chaîne doit son nom à l'un des personnages principaux du roman intitulé l'île aux trésors écrit par Robert Louis Stevenson.
