Lithgow (11 298 habitants) est une ville de Nouvelle-Galles-du-Sud en Australie dans la vallée de Lithgow, nom qui lui a été donné par John Oxley en hommage à William Lithgow, le premier controleur général de La Nouvelle Galles du Sud. Lithgow est environ à 150 kilomètres de Sydney et de Windsor.
La ville est entourée par des parcs nationaux dont certains sont classés au Patrimoine Mondial de l'Humanité. Le "Wollemi National Park" abrite le pin de Wollemi, un arbre originaire du jurassique et que l'on rencontre dans les gorges du parc.
