Angel's Egg est le cinquième album du groupe de rock Gong. Sorti en 1973 il fait suite à Flying Teapot et constitue la seconde partie de la trilogie musicale Radio Gnome Invisible. L'album fit l'objet de beaucoup d'attention au moment de sa sortie, les deux précédents albums ayant rencontré un succès important. Angel's Egg sera sorti sous plusieurs labels différents la même année. Cette particularité qui peut prêter à confusion fait le bonheur des fans collectionneurs qui cherchent les disques d'époque édités chez Charly.
La musique de Angel's Egg met l'accent sur les nappes vocales de Gilli Smyth et propose une musique planante teintée de la même folie douce que les albums précédents.
Anecdote : lorsque j'ai acheté le vinyle, en France, je ne sais pas si c'était une histoire de censure, mais il y avait un autocollant blanc, en forme d'oeuf, collé sur la femme nue que l'on voit sur le ballon de la pochette !
