- En France, la licence IV est une autorisation pour certains débits de boisson de vendre des boissons alcoolisées et liqueurs. Il est interdit de créer cette licence, il faut l'acheter ou la transférer. Elle doit rester dans une même commune.
- Licence IV est aussi le nom d'un groupe musical (Francis Vacher, Olivier Guillot et Gilles Lecouty), qui a eu un certain succès entre 1986 et 1991 avec un répertoire extrêmement populaire composé de chansons à boire. Il a passé 13 semaines en tête du Top 50 en 1987 avec sa chanson Viens boire un p'tit coup à la maison.
