Anarchy in the U.K. est une chanson des Sex Pistols, groupe britannique punk formé en 1975.
La chanson est d'abord parue en single le 26 novembre 1976 chez EMI, avec I Wanna Be Me en face B, pour se retrouver l'année suivante sur l'album Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols sur l'étiquette Virgin (novembre 1978). Le single, premier et dernier avec la compagnie EMI, n'a atteint que la 38e place au palmarès britannique (le UK Singles Chart) mais l'influence de la chanson a été immense dans le monde musical.
Anarchy in the U.K. a été reprise par le groupe de Thrash Metal Americain Megadeth, elle est présente dans leur album So Far, So Good… So What!. Elle contient cependant des paroles légèrement modifiées.
En 1976, Métal Urbain, groupe phare de la scène punk française de la fin des années 70, en a fait une reprise: Anarchie en France".
La chanson a été classée 74e meilleure chanson britannique de tous les temps par XFM en 2010[1].
