Le kutsch (parfois orthographié kutch), ou règle de réduction, est un type de règle à deux ou trois faces doubles graduées en fonction des échelles courantes des cartes et des plans, permettant de porter ou de lire directement sur ces documents la distance horizontale entre deux points, sans avoir à faire de conversion.
Le nom provient du nom d'une famille viennoise qui a inventé et diffusé ces règles à la fin du XVIIIe siècle.[réf. nécessaire]
Les échelles souvent présentes sur les kutschs sont :
- face noire : 1/500e et 1/1000e
- face rouge : 1/1250e et 1/1500e
- face verte : 1/2000e et 1/2500e
