- Vanessa gonerilla gonerilla (Fabricius, 1775) des îles principales néo-zélandaises
- Vanessa gonerilla ida (Alfken, 1899) de l'île Chatham.
Biologie
La chenille vit sur l'ongaonga, (Urtica ferox), espèce d'ortie endémique.
