John Grinder est un linguiste américain né en 1940. Il est le co-fondateur avec Richard Bandler de la Programmation neuro-linguistique (PNL) dans les années 1970.
Docteur en linguistique, il a été maître de recherche à l'université Rockefeller et professeur à l'université de Santa Cruz.
Auteur de 14 livres, il vient de co-écrire avec Carmen Bostic St Clair Whispering in the Wind
