Joe Charles Jerwa (né en janvier 1907 ou 1909[1] à Cracovie en Pologne - décédé le 11 avril 1983) est un ancien joueur professionnel de hockey sur glace polonais et canadien[2].

Carrière de joueur

Natif de Cracovie, il émigra avec sa famille au Canada vers 1913. Il débuta sa carrière professionnelle avec les Lions de Vancouver où il jouait avec son frère, Frank Jerwa. Il fut par la suite échangé aux Rangers de New York avec lesquels il fit ses débuts dans la Ligue nationale de hockey.

Il faudra attendre jusqu'en 1935-36 avant de le voir se tailler un poste permanent avec un club de la LNH. Il aura joué plus de 200 parties dans la ligue et aura aussi évolué dans la Canadian-American Hockey League et dans la Ligue américaine de hockey où il termina sa carrière à la fin de la saison 1941-42.
