Une Alleycat (ou Alley cat) est une course urbaine à vélo qui prend la plupart du temps place la nuit. L’inscription est généralement ouverte à tous les cyclistes, mais ce sont en majorité des coursiers à vélo qui y participent.
Au départ, les concurrents reçoivent un manifeste qui contient les différentes adresses d'enlèvement et de livraison à faire dans la ville. Celui ou celle qui effectue ces livraisons le plus rapidement sera déclaré(e) vainqueur. Différents concepts peuvent se greffer à la course pour y ajouter une touche d’originalité.
Pour gagner il est donc nécessaire de bien connaître la ville, d’aller vite et de maîtriser son vélo.
