Jean Amor Tarnowski de Leliwa, (ou Jan Amor Leliwa Tarnowski ou Jan Tarnowski herbu Leliwa), (1488 - 1561) fut un noble Polonais. Il était Grand Hetman de la Couronne depuis 1527 et fonda la ville de Ternopil.

Il était le propriétaire de Tarnów, Wiewiórka, Rożnów, Przeworsk, Stare Sioło, était chevalier de l'Ordre du Saint-Sépulcre à partir du 1er septembre 1518, Kasztelan à partir du 6 juin 1522, voïvode de la Voïvodie ruthène à partir du 2 avril 1527 et de la Voïvodie de Cracovie à partir du 10 octobre 1535, Kasztelan de Cracovie et Starost de Sandomierz, Stryj, Żydaczów, Dolina, Sandecz, Chmielno, Lubaczów et Horodło à partir du 15 mars 1536.

Il fut l'un des premiers hetmans de l'armée polonaise après ses grandes réformes. Il conduisit l'armée polonaise à de nombreuses victoires, parmi lesquelles celle de la Bataille d'Obertyn (1531) contre les Moldaves et celle de la Bataille de Starodub (1535) contre les Moscovites.

Il n'accomplit pas uniquement de grandes victoires. Il développa, entre autres choses, l'artillerie à cheval, les hôpitaux de campagne financés par le gouvernement, les services aux quartiers militaires, et les sapeurs. Bien qu'il fût toujours hetman, il prêcha pour une doctrine de flexibilité.
