Inner Visions est un groupe de power metal français fondé en 2000 à Annecy.

En 2000, le guitariste Dominique Leurquin, qui fait aussi partie du line-up actuel du groupe italien Rhapsody of Fire, décide de former avec son ami d'enfance, Philippe Jacoud, Inner Visions. Ils se mettent rapidement à écrire leurs compositions bien qu'ils leur manquent des musiciens. Ce n'est qu'en 2002 que le bassiste Patrice Guers, qui est également le bassiste de Rhapsody of fire, viendra s'ajouter après avoir entendu une démo enregistrée par le duo[1]. Rapidement, Laurent Nagifissi s'ajoute au groupe. En 2003, le quatuor enregistre une nouvelle démo, avec un chanteur invité pour l'occasion.
Ainsi, ils signent un contrat avec le label Replica Records pour enregistrer en 2004 l'album Control the Past après avoir trouvé Julien Jaquemond pour le chant.
