Index Holdings, crée en 1995 et siège a Tokyo au Japon est spécialisé dans la distribution de contenus sur mobile, solutions de services mobiles et m-commerce. Elle a un effectif de 130 personnes et un chiffres d’affaires de 150 millions d'euros (résultat net : 9,8 millions d'euros). On compte trois principales filiales de Index Connect Technologies, Index Solutions Corporation, Index Magazines Corporation, USA Index Corporation, F Mode Ltd.

C'est une importante société High-Tech japonaise. Index Corporation, prestataire leader dans la distribution de contenus sur des terminaux mobiles coté au Jasdaq (l'équivalent japonais du Nasdaq américain). Pour suivre la cotation du titre: [1] Index était initialement censée servir de tête de pont aux développements européens du groupe japonais. Son engagement équivaut à une prise de participation majoritaire du capital d'Haiku, à hauteur de 60 %. Index possède 99,42% du capital du club de football de Grenoble, le GF38. Mais les activités d'Index en France, au travers d'Index Multimedia, semblent devenues fortement déficitaires.
