Ahmad Ibn Muhammad Ibn Hajar al-Haytami est né en 1504 (909) à Abou Haytamen en Égypte occidentale. Il a écrit beaucoup de travaux définitifs sur le fiqh Shafi'i, particulièrement Tuhfat al-Muhtaj un commentaire sur Minhaj at-Talibi d’an Nawawi, al-Fatawa al-Kubra, et az-Zawajir. Il est mort à la Mecque en 1567 (974).
