Alexandria est une ville de l'État américain de la Louisiane, située dans la paroisse des Rapides, dont elle est le siège. Selon le recensement de 2000, sa population est de 46 342 habitants. Elle se trouve sur la rive de la rivière Rouge du Sud, près du centre géographique de l'état.

Alexandria posséde un aéroport international (Alexandria International Airport, code AITA : AEX).
