Seahenge

Seahenge (ou Holme I) est le plus ancien cercle rituel de bois intact[1].

Composé de 55 poteaux[2] de chêne disposé autour d'une souche centrale, ce cercle rituel a été découvert en 1998 sur le site de Holme-next-the-Sea, sur la côte du Norfolk, en Grande-Bretagne.

Cette structure de 6,78 m de diamètre date de l'âge de bronze et fut bâtie à partir d'arbres abattus en 2049 avant J.-C.[1].
