Voix de sifflet
La voix de sifflet (mécanisme III) est le registre le plus élevé de la voix humaine, se situant au-dessus de la voix de fausset. Dans la culture musicale occidentale contemporaine, la voix de sifflet est utilisé par certains artistes populaires; Christina Aguilera, Freddie Mercury ainsi que Minnie Riperton, une des premières personnes à la pratiquer ; sont mondialement connus la pureté de la voix de sifflet de Mariah Carey, ou même les records de hauteur atteint par Adam Lopez pour les hommes et Georgia Brown chez les femmes.
